Excellent Quality, Great Tool but Design Has Its Limits

The gutter cleaning kit is pretty much as advertised and is of good quality construction for what it is. Having said that, although it is a good solution, there are a few features that could be added to make it five starts. First, the tube is hard to control at its full assembled length. A handle on the tube might make it much easier to hang onto and control. Secondly, it seems the sections and the tip tend to unscrew in use. Something to prevent that would be useful. Third, I have gutter lids that prevent leaves and debris from setting deep in the gutters but still trap debris. The tip of gutter tool tends to get hung up as I push it along. Some kind of rounded ridge on the end might help it to slide along better. I reverted to moving the tool backwards to overcome this but that does not provide the best cleaning result. Still I think Worx has provided an excellent tool that is well made even though for this and every other manufacturers' similar product, improvements to the design and functionality are possible still and prevent "wild enthusiasm" for the concept.Read full review...

Works, but could be a lot better,

The product DOES work - a bit. The parts are well made and go together really easy, However there were no instructions at all about what the extra parts were for and how to put it together properly. <br>
There are two problems.

1) The "universal fit" is a flexible fabric joiner with some velcro and rubber grippies to fasten it to the end of your blower after you have removed its own nozzle. It is a problem because it is totally flexible and floppy - you have to hold the blower with one hand and the tube with another and try to keep them from getting twisted and keep them straight. Not the best solution. I would have paid extra for a proper adapter to my exact model of blower.

2) The air tube is tiny - maybe 2" in diameter. The blower is 5 or 6 inches at the outlet. The small tube loses much of the air pressure along its length. You must use the blower at full power to get anything of use out of the end, and I only used 2 of the 4 tubes. I had previously jury-rigged something out of 4" PVC with an elbow at the end before this and it worked much better. I may go back to it.

Disappointing, Worx.

Needs improvement does not work with TORO. When rigged to work it does beat being on a ladder.

Pros: It is adequate in what it was designed for. I had matted leaves in gutter and it required using the nozzle to scrape and disturb them first then it blew them out, Easy to assemble.

CONS:
1. I have a TORO. If you have a TORO DO NOT BUY. The toro nozzle must stay connected to blower or the safety will prevent TORO from operating. SO I just fit the worx universal adapter over the end of toro blower nozzle and kept it in place with a bungee strap back run back to the blower to keep adapter on. That part was then fine.

2. After about 15 minutes the adapter came apart from the fabric adapter to the tube interface. fitting. Apparently a little zip tie is all that is holding the adapter and tube interface together. Needed home remedy - wrapped wire and twisted tight to keep those parts together.

3. The pressure keeps popping the extension tubes loose from the adapter interface. (design flaw) Not a secure connection. Remedy - DUCK TAPE,

4. The assembled unit is very flexible at full length of the tubes plus (in my case) the TORO nozzle. A tube if fitted with a handle that could be placed as #1 or #2 tube would make control of the extended unit much easier. Instead of trying to grip the round tube at arms length to steady it.

SUMMARY: It works but if you attach to a powerful blower the design needs some reinforcement. I also requires per instrutions to remove your exhaust nozzle. Not possible with TORO designs or any others that require nozzle or Vaccum tube to be attached to your blower to operate

It works, but I wish I had more hands.

It does the job. However I was hoping that this WORX kit would include a ridgid plastic adapter that would connect directly to my WORX electric blower. I understand why there is a flexible cloth adapter that will allow this kit to work with any blower. But ,it is difficult holding the extension kit and the blower at the same time with a flexible cloth adapter while pointing the kit into the gutter. But , it works.Read full review...

The "universal" connection doesn't work well.

From the WORX website I ordered a leaf blower. Then saw the gutter cleaning kit. Read the info thoroughly to verify compatibility with the blower I was purchasing. It does work, but not especially well. The "universal" connection is poor causing a loss of air flow at the business end of the hose. I guess it is better than a ladder but a better connection to the blower would make it a really valuable tool.Read full review...

Tough to use

The kit is well made, but difficult to use. I have a ranch home with a relatively low roof, but even reducing the number of connected tubes doesn't help the ease of operation. I used with my new battery powered blower (Worx Turbo) and it doesn't have enough power to dislodge the leaves. I ended up back on the roof like I was trying to avoid after recharging the batteries. Keeps me off the ladder and roof.

Has an adapter that works with my old blower of another brand. At times need two people because blower is connected by flex adapt and it can be difficult to control both items. I did it but will ask wife for assist next time.Read full review...
