It's a Decent Collection, But Needed Improvement

Truth be told, this is still a good watch despite it's one major flaw: it skips through some of the matches. If you're going into this looking to watch the entire matches in the greatest of the steel cage matches, you'll find yourself screaming at the tv wondering why the WWE fast forward through some of these matches. The DVD pretty much covers a timeline that highlights the better steel cage matches through out history. If you don't like to watch wrestling from the older days...like the 70s and 80s....you may want to avoid this DVD because that's what half of it covers. While the matches on here are enjoyable to watch, I am still puzzled why more than half of them are clipped and edited down to a brief watch. If these are the greatest matches in the history of steel cages...why are they edited down? Why can't I watch the matches in their entire length? It's really bothersome at times. The match selection is good and the extras feature more matches. You'll get commentary from people within the business and wrestlers too. If they decide to make a sequel to this collection, I really hope they consider not editing over half of the featured matches. It's a good DVD collection and all fans should give it a watch. Just be wary that half of this collection is older matches...other than that, it's fun.Read full review...

Documentation of Brutality and BLOOD!

Being a big fan of extreme type of wrestling matches it was a natural I would buy this DVD. Considering the cage match for a ton of years was viewed upon as the "Hell In A Cell" match of its day. I've always been a big fan of cage matches though so I looked forward to watching this double disc DVD. I don't think WWE will go down in history as being the company with the greatest cage matches in history, but they definitely managed to put basically every high profile cage match they've ever had in the companies history on here for the most part.

WWE did manage to put some bonus cage matches from the old NWA days on here, who I personally perceive arguably was the organization that produced the best cage matches. Not a lot of them are on here but enough are on here to prove WWE wasn't the only organization qualified to put on great cage matches. Overall though it's a good DVD set to watch for anyone that is pain hungry and loves a lot of violence in their wrestling matches. I don't think any hardcore fan of the WWE will find it a disappointment. It's good enough to watch to prove to anyone why the cage match is one of the most violent/brutal, career shortening and feared matches in the sport/business.Read full review...

Hell's Infamous Structure

Just because the first disc had the matches cut-short, there were many matches on the extras of both discs with full matches, so it shouldn't have been a problem. For any fan who is wanting to learn more about the actual wrestling back in the "Golden" age of wrestling, this is perfect. Another Steel Cage DVD is being released soon as a three-disc, but it'll be hard to top this.Read full review...

WWE Bloodbath (2-Disc Set)

Awesome matches and a great double DVD set to include in your collection. Matches that I've never seen and an extra disc with 11 complete matches.
