It's good for reliving purposes

I bought this game to relive the era this game represent. Like every WWE game in the last decade (or more), the WWE games represent the period between august of the previous year (Summerslam weekend) to the year it's released. It works as a time capsule. So this games has things exclusive things based on mid-2013 to mid-2014 like the final form of the Shield before being broken up, Batista's return, the two belt version of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Corey Graves as a playable character, final game with Rey Mysterio and Cm Punk as well as the debut of NXT as a promotion in the game.

It also has two "Story modes" reliving two of the biggest rivalries in WWE (with 3 more stories available for DLC), which was a great time to play through.

The problem i have, is due to playing the later games before this one. I was taking a sabbatical from wrestling games when this game came out until last year, where i bought 2k14 for a low price and later 2k16, followed by 2k17. The gameplay shifted to a different style with this game that 2k16-7 perfected, as such, this gameplay feels a bit more rough.

So my review if this game is that it workd great as a time capsule, but it's gameplay is behind it's follow ups, as it should be.

I give it a 7.5 (between good and very good)
