The old days!
The movie does take me back to a different time and culture, the culture which was familiar to me as a child. In that sense the film is a great comfort to see Cagney and his cohorts once again as if live on the screen.
The time of "iron men" and "wooden machines" had a wonderful simplicity to it. Do business with a handshake, honour and gentlemanliness were the reigning principles.
The film awakened those days for me. It is more than a shame that they are forever gone. Now we must have many pages of paper to do business, no more handshake.
Now we have some plastic and synthetics instead of wood and iron.

More war history than Warbirds
I enjoyed this set but I expected a lot more of it. It had information on some early flights, the Wright brothers and about 1 other who was trying to fly at the same time period. There wasn't a lot on WWI airplanes and flying footage. I realize that there weren't a lot of movie cameras at the aerodromes. It had a lot of coverage on the trench war and what each side was doing.
