No More Leafs Made Easy!

I have a decent size pool in the backyard with lots of Pepper trees (small thin leafs) and a large stand of bamboo (mega strong leafs). These things were constantly clogging up my auto-vac. Bought this gadget as other jet type sweepers would also clog. This thing is awesome! Picks up all debris and does not clog! Best yet, no hoses or aux equipment to lug around.Read full review...

Awesome concept but went through three packs of batteries and worked for five cleaning sessionsl.

As an ecommerce researcher, I understand that verified purchase reviews can still be generated organically by person's connected with the seller who buys the product for the purpose of helping them out and leaving a review. I can't see how any of the good short one sentence reviews on this product can be positive, unless I got a lemon.

The concept of this product is amazingly awesome!!! I have used it five times, and I can clean my 14,000 gallon pool in seven minutes. Even my eleven year old can clean it! It has really changed the time and effort we spend on cleaning the pool.

If I had to buy one of these vacuums every two or three years, it would be worth it, but sadly, I have only used it five times, and every single time, it has leaked water into the battery housing. I have gone through three sets of batteries. I even tied a plastic bag around the housing, and water still got in.

Whoever is sourcing this product, if they could just get it right, they'd make a steal, but right now, it's stealing from the buyer and making them quite mad because being without a pool vacuum and waiting to for the replacement, is pretty frustrating.

One of the buyers/reviews below suggested a modification which I will try if the seller sends me a replacement, which I have requested. And if the seller sends me an improved replacement, I will leave a positive review, but please consider detailed reviews by verified buyers when deciding whether to invest in this product.

If the verified buyer is only leaving a short generic review, I would be leery because I feel, after wrestling with the traditional hose suction vacuums, any buyer would be ecstatic to leave a glowing and detailed review on this product, if it would only last past a few cleanings.

Quicker picker upper

Great item. I'm in a wheelchair but the leaf vac let's me clean the pool myself. The only real problem is the battery box seal, I think a silicon gasket sealer may be the answer for short term. I also think, it could use a bit more fan speed. But it works fine as is.Read full review...

Fast, Quiet, and Swimming in no time!

This worked great. I removed it from the package, added batteries* and a pole and cleaned the pool in 15 minutes!

It is rare that a product preforms as well as claimed but this item did just that.
It was so nice to clean the bottom of the pool quickly and in silence!

*It is a nice gesture to include batteries, but if an item is stored a long time or exposed to extreme temperatures, the batteries are affected. The batteries are not visible in the sealed package so they cannot be checked and there was no battery expiration on the exterior package. Lucky I had enough batteries the ones included were old and discharging(as seen below).

Works Great when it works.

Gentlemen, Your Leaf Blaster works great when it works which is not very long.
• The Battery compartment is not water tight and floods corroding batteries.
• The Motor Housing is not water tight either and eventually corrodes the motor and freezes it up.

I modified the unit by adding an outboard 12V Rechargeable battery thereby eliminating the battery compartment flooding problem.

I Sealed the motor cavity as best as I could but the motor cavity still floods. Water must be coming in from the propeller end which has no access that I could find.

I offer this information for you to consider if you intend to make any changes. I am sure that you must know about these design problems.

Respectfully,
Ed Lubiniecki

Great Rake but Batteries get wet

I used this the day after I received it and it did a good job of picking up trash. I put it away and 2 days later I tried to use it and it wouldn't run. Opened battery compartment, it had water in it, and the batteries were corroded. I examined the gasket and didn't see any cuts or nicks. Leaving the batteries out, I experimented and no matter how carefully I put the cover on, it leaked. I still like the leaf rake and continue to use it. I just remove the batteries after each use.Read full review...

Works surprisingly well

This little vac is deceptively simple: shaped liked a 1950s flying saucer with little wheels underneath, it features a large, slow turning propeller and a big mesh bag that attaches to it with a draw string (two mesh bags are provided)
It is powered via 8xAA batteries (provided) and attaches to a standard pool pole. You turn the motor on and off with a push button.
The propeller creates a water current that pushes leaves, debris, sand and even small pebbles into the bag.
Couldn’t be any easier... and it works better than fancy expensive stuff. The best part is you don’t have to plug it in or worry about a suction hose, it’s always ready. The bag is easy to remove, empty and reattach (it’s easier to let it dry in the sun before emptying it)

The first time I used it, I didn’t pay attention enough to the battery compartment gasket. Result: a leak, that ruined the batteries. However, everything inside is waterproof so after removing the batteries and drying everything I was able to replace the batteries, carefully positioned the gasket and it’s been working flawlessly since.
So, recommended but be very careful with the gasket when closing the battery compartment, it’s this unit’s weakest point. Prices vary widely, but don’t pay more than $75 for it.

Worth every penny!!

Absolutely the best investment I've made in my pool yet. Lots of leaves in my pool every spring and fall. This spring I started the two day, painstaking prosses of removing leaves out of my pool, half way through i went online and took a chance on the device with the normal attitude that it was a hustle. To my delight I cleaned out the second half In 20 minutes, no lie. If it did break id buy a new one every year.Read full review...

Great Product

This is a great purchase it works great for picking up leaves that are all the way at the bottom of the pool especially when you have a 10 feet deep end at one side of the pool.

I like the fact that I am not putting cold water into my pool/hot tub.

I have used this twice in my pool. I noticed the second time using it the batteries were dying down. I use the batteries that came with it. I do not think these batteries are of good quality so I will change them out and hope that fixes it.Read full review...
