Western Digital Hard Drive Fails Often

The price of the hard drive is really good. It only costs me $33.99. I'm using it for my home VCR recorder. However, I find that the drive doesn't work all the time. The drive has the capacity 1TB, but it often stops working at around 185GB and makes a loud beep. Every time when it happens, I have to reformat the drive again. May be the problem comes from the system board. If that's the case, I just wasted my replacement for the previous hard drive. Therefore, I'm not sure what causes the hard drive to stops working and makes a loud noise. Since I'm writing a review, I'm just explaining my experience.Read full review...

Great HDD for the price

Great well known brand. Great HDD for the price. Only thing is i had to install and special software to be able to format hard drive since it was not recognized. Once you format it its all good.

Price and effiency is amazing. Energy saver!

WD Green is very good for storage from what I read of the reviews. It can (as all HDD's) can be installed with an OS on it too, but because of the way it functions (it's an energy saver so it will not be at full speed when not in use) it's perfect for a storage drive! I don't regret buying a used one, as long as it's still under warranty and from a trusted seller! Luckily this one is and it's not that old too! Don't forget to format your HDD when installed or the computer won't "see" it.Read full review...

Had a 2tb wd drive that failed

Does the work for a good price

The HDD works well, is fast enough for gaming, even if not ment for gaming, silent, all good except one thing, this said "new product" but when i openned i saw spots and scratches in the hard drive, work's well so far but i don't get the fact that if is a new product, why the wearings signs.Read full review...
