I bought this drive for an Enclosure that Houses an Optical drive & a hard drive, it works great for a net book, or Laptop, i use on a 14 inch Ubuntu Laptop that has 2GB of Memory, and an internal 500GB Drive, runing U*buntu 14.04 LTS, Works great for downloading programs, and Tech stuff like ham radio modifications, I also use it on My Desktop Computer which is all built into the Keyboard. This item has always been a great product as western digital always makes top quality products and it has been refurbished professionally which certifies it's quality. I installed this on a Compaq laptop and the hard-drive works perfectly and my customers are completely satisfied by it's performance. I recommend anyone to buy from this brand as they rarely get problems such as bad sectors or HD errors compared to some other brands and are very reliable. I'm used to buy through ebay and can certify as a professional that this HD would be the best selection for a computer upgrade specifically for laptops. You can also chose higher capacity ones but when doing so, I would recommend you to chose those with greater RPM as the bigger the hd capacity, the bigger the rpm is better but the smaller it is, then you have the choice in taking the higher rpm or the lower one both are fine.Read full review...
