Pretty Sweet

WET, is hella sweet. Outrageously entertaining gameplay. On occasion it gets a little tough to find the next checkpoint, but that is something I find easy to overlook due to the games' high octane gameplay, badass main character, and it's style. In a nutshell, I wouldn't sell my copy.Read full review...

Could have been better!

I believe they could have done better on the overall software aspect...it looks real choppy on game play as though they were in a hurry to finish it up so that they could release it quick! :-( Had they taken a little more time on the game engine side it could had been a great game like (Prince of Persia for example)! :-)Read full review...

Wet's style and presentation are exceptional

Wet is what I imagine came out of someone saying "let's make a list of stuff we think is really cool about Quentin Tarantino movies and put it all into this videogame we're making." Wet's '70s cinema-tinged presentation, over-the-top weapon play, and the seemingly intentional plot elements it shares with Tarantino's Kill Bill make this a slick-looking game, but the sometimes frustrating controls, over reliance on quick-time events, and lack of online leaderboards make it suffer from a slight case of style over substance.
In Wet you follow the exploits of Rubi Malone, a tough-as-nails gun for hire that's got a vendetta against one of her former employers who double-crossed her, and will stop at nothing until she kills him -- sounds kind of like Kill Bill, right? With a title like "Wet" and a leading lady that's emblazoned across the cover I was expecting this to be another over sexualized game where the female character is just an object to fuel fanboy fantasies. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised when I found that wasn't the case. Never was there a lingering shot on the heroine's backside, nor did Rubi ever utter one phrase of suggestive dialogue; the only time you even see her wearing anything less than a leather jacket and long pants or refer to any kind of sexual act is in a scene during the second half of the game, and there's certainly nothing sexual about it. Kudos to A2M for not succumbing to the pressures of crafting a female lead that's not merely an object.

Wet PS3

If your into films of Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Resevior Dogs, Kill Bill, etc...) then this is the game for you.

Gameplay: 7 out of 10

Con:
The game play is fun at first but it gets tiresome by the end of the second level because your pretty much just playing the whole game in "SLOW-Motion" and it gets repetative. Your "Slow Mo" starts for every action you do: jump, wall run, slide, climbing ladders so it gets pretty annoying. You gain more points for killing more enemies in "Slow Mo" and you get less points if you kill in real time, so the goal is always to be in "Slow Mo".

Pro:
You can upgrade your abilities and weapons and combine combos by using your enviroment.

Story: 9 out of 10
I must admit the story is great it makes you feel like your in an actual Quentin film.

Not exactly what I expected!

I bought this game assuming I would love it. With the ability to shoot (or use swords!) while doing acrobatic slow motion moves, how could this game not be everything they said it was! Well... I was disappointed after about 15 minutes of game play. There are actually too many things to learn how to do - AT THE SAME TIME. I could go on and on with several examples of particular moves that require several fingers working at the same time on the controller, but I won't. Suffice it to say, if they game only costs you $10-$15 I say go for it and see for yourself! If you can only find the game for $30+ I say pass on it. By the way, this review in no way has anything to do with Eliza Dushku who does the voice of the main character. I think she is great, and in all honesty, one of the main reasons I bought the game in the first place! :-)Read full review...

Wet (Playstation 3, 2009)

I wanted this game because the advertisements made it look so good. Well, I got it, I played it, didn't finish it (yet...)

The game so far from what I seen has nice stunts, course violence, blood..all that stuff, graphics aren't bad either. It just didn't live up to its "hype" I guess you could call it.

You either shoot or slice & dice the bad guys, the character is one of those rough & stuff badass type of chicks, the game has a bit of an old western style feel to it (loading screens etc. mainly) Haven't gotten too far is the storyline but the cut scenes are pretty cool though. The game just lacks a certain something that I just can't put my finger on & during certain loading sections it plays little old horror movie clip things..for humor I suppose.

Overall this may not be as good as the ads made is seem to be but then again, these days most games aren't. But it is a good time killer & good for blowing steam when your mad or whatever, just one of those fun for the hell of it type of games.

Including stunts, game play, storyline, graphics etc. Overall, from what I played of it so far, I give it a 6 or 7/10, hard to decide exactly so yeah, a 6 or 7.

Hope this helps!!

WET part 2 to this game will be called DRY

So i wanted to try this out so i baught it. The game has a good concept. Its almost like a KILL BILL movie it even has the tarantino style music playing in the background. Killing with a sword is much better than a gun because you get to see parts fly everywhere. This game delivers. But it is Hard to play and the controls are very tight. Could be better. There is also a dumb storyline to this title.. Thats all folks.Read full review...

Don't buy into the Bullsh*t

This is an all around great game and anyone who talks crap about it is just trying to stir the sh*t pot! If you are at all a fan of Tarantino films then you souldn't have a bad word to say about it. Its just like one but better b/c you are controlling the action and excitement! You gotta love Rubi Malone, cause if you don't you can just take a bullet in the head! Oh and the soundtrack, don't even get me started! It has an amazing soundtrack, my favorite soundtrack of all time! The bands they dug up are amazing! So go buy it!!Read full review...

WET is a gaming gem!

Being a huge fan of old exploitation movies and the new cult Grindhouse hits, I find it very easy to love WET. With its over the top action which invokes constant nostalgia of titles like kill bill and pulp fiction while still managing to stay classy. It basically boils down to 3 different gameplay styles gunplay, swordplay and acrobatics.....at least this is what wikipedia says, WRONG in my opinion its combar, acrobatics and RAGE!!!! What is rage? Rage triggers at preset moments in the game w-here the lead character gets covered in blood and goes "Crazy in The Head" [pun intended] and becomes extremley powerful and kills many many many enemies in a very very very short amount of time, and if you keep a combo going this whole time you get a bonus. overall wets a grea, fun, unique, magnificent game.....BUY IT :DRead full review...

WET needs a update

The game at first was fun to play but now its getting over the top Ridiculous with the challenge mode its not worth your time or shouldn't be required to master because its down right stupid the game is very frustrating on this stage where I'm at the camera angle for stage 4 is crap what were you Bethesda thinking?...They should've delayed this game until it was 100% finished no instead they release it due to the demands of inpatient people!! Now you got your way and look at the outcome a messed up game! I give this game B- or a 3 out of 5Read full review...
