Unusual sampler from the mid 60's!!
I bought this cd because it is a unique combination of artists, was unique when it was first released on lp. The Eric Clapton and the Powerhouse tracks can only be found on this disc. The Lovin'Spoonful tracks feature a more rock/blues oriented Spoonful, before their hits. The Paul Butterfield tracks are among the best ever done by the original lineup. The Tom Rush and Al Kooper tracks are quite interesting early performances by these important artists. Sound of the cd is fine. I especially love the versions of Crossroads, One More Mile To Go. 1966, things were Shakin'!Read full review...
