Wheatena Really Hits the Spot
This cereal is like no other wheat cereal. The wheat is toasted, so it has a nutty flavor and the texture cooks-up a little more coarse. Very filling and satisfying. Maybe I like it so much because I grew-up on it, but I do really love it. I was excited to find it online---I didn't realize the company still makes it. Hey you out there, BUY THIS! It's good for you and it tastes great! If people keep buying it, I figure they'll keep making it. Nothing Says "Winter" Like "Wheatena"
Doesn't need anything to enhance its taste... maybe a pinch of salt, but definitely no sweeteners. I like to make two servings for breakfast, according to these proportions: 2/3C Wheatena, 1C water, 1C whole milk -- it's creamy, w/o losing that nutty grain taste.
