Where the Wild Things Are
This is a wonderful book - a Classic. It was a childhood favorite for my children so I had to get it for my grandchildren. Such wonderful illustrations. A Caldecott winner and I can understand why. Max sasses his mother -- typical childhood behavior -- and then after being sent to his room, he experiences an adventure - due to boredom - I suppose. I encourage my grandchildren to use their imagination. But I think this also encourages them to learn by example and helps make "monsters" less frightening.Read full review...
