Psycho blues and techno beats.
Jeff Beck has come a long way from the Yardbirds days, that's for sure. I really didn't expect this one, as I thought it would be more blues oriented (though there are some blues tracks, such as the mutant blues "Blast From the East"). It is very heavy at times and uses all the modern tricks of the trade. As a result, this is a very hip album that even younger listeners will enjoy in this age of alternative. The album features his signature style, of course, but is very modern in its beats and sound effects. They could play some of these songs at a dance club and everyone would love it. It is nice to see an artist advance like this, like Joe Satriani has done with his latest album "Engines of Creation." "Who Else!" is very cool and just begs to be played loud. Good work, Jeff!Read full review...
