The original - plus new games

Just when I was getting bored with the original Wii Fit mini-games, Wii Fit Plus arrived! The Plus version includes everything from the original, plus several new features.
My favorite part is that there's a whole screen full of new games. Like the original set, they're colorful and creative. Many use the Wiimote as well as the balance board: the Wiimote serves as the handlebars of your Segway, or shows how well you can juggle while you balance on a giant beach ball. You can even fly through the air while dressed as a chicken! You also have the option to play some "brain fitness" games that test how quickly you're adding up numbers or sorting out colors.
After you finish an activity, Wii Fit Plus tells you how many calories you just burned. Unfortunately, most don't burn more than a couple of calories, which can be a bit discouraging -- and it's based on a generic intensity measure, so you don't get any bonus points for going all out. In fact, the new games seem weighted toward efficiency more than intensity; when you do the bicycle ride it's a good workout, but the longer you spend racing around the course, the lower your score at the end... so there's little on-screen incentive to work harder while you play.
Happily, you can extend each phase of your workout by choosing from several pre-made routines that mix a variety of exercises (for a total around 5 minutes each), or you can design and save your own favorite workout - whether it's all balance games, a mix of hip-toning yoga and strength poses, or some other combination you love best. Since the routines move directly from one activity to the next, you get to skip all the lost time navigating the menus, and devote your exercise time to the exercises themselves.
Although still a comparatively mild workout, like the original game, the Wii Fit Plus is a fun way to spend more time getting active at home.

Good variety of exercises

I haven't explored this game in depth yet, but from what I've seen it definitely has some redeeming qualities. There is a large variety of exercises included in it, and they range from balancing, to stretching, to using your body weight to strength train. There are also aerobic options for fat burning. It tracks your calorie burn, and can help you track fitness goals over time.

I'm sure there are things I won't like so much about it as time goes on (there's always something) but so far its pretty cool. I could get the same workout in other ways, but the way it monitors you is entertaining so it wins some novelty points as well. If you have the extra money to purchase the game and balance board, it may be worth it for you.

Fun for the whole family!

I bought the wii fit PLUS game because my whole family liked the regular wii fit games. The plus version has some much funner games on it, like obstacle course, snowball fighting to name a couple. And you still have the basic wii fit games also on the disc. There are enough activities on the game that everyone in my family found one they love. My kids ages range from 6 to 10 and even fun stuff for the adults!Read full review...

Wii Fit Plus

I like this addition to the Wii Fit franchise and it is a good deal for the price (if you already own the first Wii Fit game and Balance Board). Nintendo provided some useful features in this update -- some not so, but at least they are fun for a moment. I'm not a serious Yoga or workout addict so I'm not using this to the fullest. However, even for the casual exercises once or twice a week this is a good way to burn some calories, feel better about yourself and have fun doing it. Either by yourself or with friends and/or family this game fits the bill -- if you can forgive a few minor missteps. But nobody's perfect.Read full review...

Very impressed

Very pleased with this game. I needed something to keep me fit during this quarantine, and this is just what the doctor ordered. Has a lot of variety going for it, and that’s just one of the many things I love about it. Would highly recommend getting this. Once you get it you won’t wanna stop playing!Read full review...

Overall, with the improvements, I give a five star rating for Wii Fit Plus.

I bought Wii Fit Plus because my son broke our Wii Fit CD and I really liked the original Wii FIt, but wanted to upgrade when the opportunity came like this.

Great improvements have been made on this game over the original Wii Fit. The most important one is the "Switch Player" option in training. In the old Wii Fit if you wanted to compete with someone in one training routine or balance game you had to go back to the main menu each time and log in with the other person, reading the same welcome screens over and over again - very time consuming. But in Wii Fit Plus you can switch to another player with the press of a few buttons. Very convenient and time saving.

New games are also a big plus for this game over the original. They make this game interesting again. Wii Fit Plus also tells you the approximate amount of calories burnt after each routine, a nice add on. Wii Fit Plus brings the familiar training experience with really nice improvements.

Great for Balance

I bought the Wii fit for the balance games as I had read they were useful in rehab from vestibular issues. I am very pleased with the product and the value I got was great.

Get The Full Gym Workout Experience In Your Home

I recently purchased this product as a gift for my mother who already owns the original Wii Fit and Wii Fit balance board. I had always been skeptical of using a video game to work out and exercise but surprisingly I decided to try it out a few weeks ago and have been using it every day since then. The original Wii Fit is great but with the Wii Fit Plus it adds some extras exercise games and better customization for each person's work out whether you prefer yoga or strength training, it has it all to fit every type of person and every type of exercise. I have tried a few other exercise video games on the Wii but none of them compare to Wii Fit Plus. This is truly the best exercise game for all ages, male or female, and all fitness levels. My entire family (from parents in their 60s to my nieces and nephews starting at age 8) uses the Wii Fit Plus on a regular basis and has fun doing it. I never thought I could get the same workout in my living room as I could in a gym but I was wrong. The Wii Fit Plus is perfect because I hated going to the gym, working out in front of other people and paying membership fees, with the Wii Fit Plus, I can do everything a gym has, right in my living room!Read full review...
