Brings new life to Wii Fit

We have had our Wii Fit for a year now and frankly the old games had lost much of their luster. Wii Fit Plus offers new games, workout routines, and a new outlook towards the year-old game.
Our entire family loves the new games that are user friendly and actually lead to a faster heart rate and some sweat beads running down the face. Each of my family members has a favorite but best of all we enjoy watching each other challenge the new games which has led to some nice family time together. Anyone with older children can appreciate this benefit.
Best of all is the price. For easily under $30 brand new and shipped you can essentially renew your love for your Wii Fit, add tons of new challenges, games, and fun, and it interfaces with your old games so you can still play them too. I cannot think of one negative thing to write about the Wii Fit Plus software package.

If you hate working out in front of people. This is the answer.

I am 66 years old and by making my own workouts with Yoga and Strength training I am in better shape than I was at 40. I don't need to go to a gym, my work out is right in my home with a virtual reality personal trainer. My blood pressure is 118/60 my resting pulse rate is 55bpm. I owe this all to this program.Read full review...

Even better than the original Wii Fit!

If you liked the Wii Fit, you will LOVE the Wii Fit Plus.
It has many new activities including skateboarding (!) and you can finally stop following that yappy little dog and roam the island on your own, going wherever you want to on a bike! It also has more exercises, and the built in routines mean you aren't constantly reaching for the Wiimote to press the "A" button after each exercise. It uses the Nunchuk quite a bit (I had to hunt for mine, I had never used it before, but you need it to juggle! also for the rhythmic boxing)
I still find you have to listen to the "do this exercise every day to improve your posture" propaganda a little too much. I wish it could "remember" that it told me that last time, and the time before that, and would vary the speech a little more, but maybe that will be in version 3.
The main thing is that it makes moving fun again, and that's what really counts. I am 54 and never thought I could have this much fun exercising! Highly recommended!

P.S. One complaint: Although the conversion of the existing data from the original Wii Fit went off without a hitch, it mysteriously now measures weight in Kilograms. Admittedly, in Canada that's how we do things officially, but I, like many of my older fellow Canadians, have never adjusted body weight measurements to Kg, nor height to centimeters, nor pool temperature to Celsius (air temperature is another matter, no problems adjusting to that!) Anyway, there does not seem to be any way to select Lbs over Kgs, or at least I haven't found it! I guess I'll get used to it!

Wii Fit Plus

As an owner and constant user of the Wii Fit, I was eager to get the Wii Fit Plus. I was not dissapointed. The upgrade is relatively inexpensive (compared to buying a new game). It allows you to continue to use all the routines from the Original Wii fit and adds a group of new activities. My biggest complaint with the original Wii Fit was that almost all of the activities were worth one or two minutes credit. With Wii Fit Plus several workouts, such as Island Cycling (which also has 4 or 5 different skill levels)and the Obstacle Course (2 levels)will give you much longer workouts, up to 30 minutes on some of the Island Cycling levels. This eliminates the wasted time between finishing one workout and beginning another and also allows for continuous calorie burn off.

Wii Fit Plus also allows you to use pre-set workouts or you can create your own. Another SUPER feature is the ability to move from one person to another without having to close the game and start it up again. We use this feature to have family contest nights, which give us a combination of exercise and family time.

Wii Fit Plus is a "must have" for anyone that currently enjoys Wii Fit. I hope the people at Wii are working on yet another enhancement!

Wii Fit Plus is a Must

If you have ever used a Wii fit, then you know it can be fun, but it is limited. When Wii Fit Plus was released, it filled gaps that the regular Wii Fit game left. Creating workouts, tracking your progress, the customization, it all makes the game worth it. Before the Wii Fit was more for fun than for real fitness, but Wii Fit Plus changes that outlook to a low-level workout that is really fun. I have two kids, 5 and 7, that love using it and sometimes beg to be able to do so. Makes letting them play video games a much easier decision.

If you own a Wii Fit and are thinking about buying this game, BUY IT!!! If you are looking at getting a Wii Fit, buy the bundle that includes this game. Otherwise you will be buying it down the line, so might as well kill two birds with one stone. Happy exercising!

Wii Fit Plus

Easy to use, records more information than I thought possible. DD loves it and plays it more than any other Wii games we have which keeps her more active. Fun! Some things maybe you don't get as much exercise as you could doing them in the "real" world but overall highly recommend. Especially if you have kids spending too much time on their video games. DD rides bikes, skateboards, does Yoga, and hula hoops her way through an hour or more of activity using the Wii at some point every day since we got it. You can even add your dog to the program but, the big drawback for me, you have to pick up the dog and weight it with you on the scale. Since we have a 106 lb. dog that is about as big as I am I find that a drawback. But that's the only negative I've found with it.Read full review...

Great starter/motivator

I originally bought this for my son and his wife to get them motivated to exercise and have fun at the same time. I had so much fun on theirs, that i had to get one myself. I run outdoors and workout regularly at a gym, so this isn't a substitute for a fitness enthusiast. BUT, it's great for beginners and anyone else just wanting to at least move and have a lot of fun. It's great for working on your balance and can be extremely challenging on alot of games.
It also shows just how unbalanced you can be with alot of yoga and strength moves you thought you were doing right. Its made me more aware of my position when i'm lifting weights now.
I also love how it keeps track of your weight/BMI and how much you exercise. It always tells you how well you did the last time and you can see how well you improved.
Overall, its a great game for everyone in the family...whether your a gym rat or just starting out.

Wii Fit Plus

The new games are terrific--involving physical and mental skills. This game can put together a work out routine which can last five minutes or more than an hour!! Additionally, it estimates the amount of calories burned which is a big motivation for me.

I had the Wii Fit and was getting bored with the aerobics, yoga and strength exercises. The balance options were still challenging. There are many of the same exercises as before but with the Wii Fit routines that the machine sets up, I find it is less repetitious than what I was doing previously. I also am "trying" new exercises which intimidated me earlier because they come up in the sequence.

The mouth movements on the trainers is lacking and the audience still doesn't have hands -- I hoped that these would have been improved in the newer edition.

All in all -- it is well worth the cost!
