Wii Fit keeps me moving

I started the Wii Fit **106 weeks ago** and have not missed a day. I also have lost 35 pounds that have stayed off. To the people who have less than a sterling opinion of the Wii Fit, and say that it does not give the same result as comparable exercise elsewhere: It has inspired me to exercise EVERY day for more than two years. Nothing else has done that for me. Some days I tell myself that if I am too tired all I have to do is the run--usually the Island Lap-- and there have been (ONLY!) a handful of days when that has been the case--I almost inevitably end up doing more aerobic and balance games. Most days I do or exceed 30 minutes and then some. I strive for perfect scores in the games and have been guilty of competing with my kids. But mostly I think it's a hoot. In love!

First off, I just have to say I love love love this game! It's been helping me keep track of my weight and reminds me to exercise as well as make exercising a fun thing to do when I'm bored. I usually don't enjoy exercising, but this game is the only exception. I plan on using it to lose weight and tone my body! Don't bother with the original - 'Plus' is where it's at!

If you're thinking to revisit Wii Fit, the Plus version is the way to do it. It includes all the same exercises and games from the original, plus a bunch of extras. And the ability to create custom routines is great. Highly recommend it!Read full review...

Great exercise and fun game. Family loves it!

We like the variety of exercises available on Wii Fit Plus. This is a great way to get the family doing something together, along with getting everyone off the couch. There is so much now being shown on regular TV, that can have a negative influence on young children, that we are now opting to limit the time spent on watching TV programs. As much as I have enjoyed watching programs like Gray's Anatomy, Brothers and Sisters, etc., I am appalled at the blatant sexuality being displayed. Personally, I don't think that heterosexuality or homosexuality should be made a focus on these programs. I would like to go back to the days when filming of movies and TV programs prohibited the vulgar language and sexual displays. Good, but ...

This game takes a little getting used to. First, it doesn't even start the game without the Balance Board. Second, a lot of the balance games are too fast to get your balance right. Third, most of the challenge games make you start all over when something happens to your character, and that can be frustrating when you've gone through a lot and something new comes up and 'gets' your character.

I haven't even got to the workout partner bit yet, but a lot of the exercises look difficult, and looking at the screen while working out seems problematic at best.

Still recommend for the fun parts, but there are better fitness programs if that is what you are looking for.Read full review...
