This is what I liked about the movie, everything except Ellen Barkin she was just too hot to play Calamity. This has got to be one of Walter Hill's most under rated films to date. If you like the show "Deadwood" then this movie is for you. Not only does it go into more detail of the gunslingers life but it's also accurate with the story telling and history of Bill. For those of you looking for a good down and dirty western with some style mixed in and a little more history of Wild Bill then give this movie a try. If you can find it, rent it first it's not for everyone. I bought it because I have a collection of Walter Hill films and westerns.Read full review...

Great character acting & story line, Jeff Brigdes really climbs into James Butler Hickock's skin .

A Story of WILD BILL HICKOK...but where is Jingles?

Another gritty western, which should be in any collector's western genre collection. Jeff Bridges is really remarkable in this portrayal of Wild Bill, you come away with a not so good-guy perspective of Hickok, as history likes to tell it. Ellen Barkin is ever so HOT as Calamity Jane...I feel more of Barkin playing the role as HOT as she can, and throwing accuracy of the real Calamity Jane out the window.Read full review...

I first seen it on History Channel and enjoy watching how someone that became famous in a time when they really hadn’t established law enforcement yet someone like him would take on such a task in an unstable time. Most is close to historically being correct and that was great! Read full review...

Excellent new dvd movie. Subject was on Wild Bill Hickok one of my very favorite guys of all times, hence the reason for purchase. You aren't looking for a movie review so I won't, you do not want a review on the seller, so you are not getting one. What more can I say, a brand new movie, probably fresh from the manufacturer, via way of a warehouse, because flat out it wasn't a popular movie and never got spoken off highly, which by way of a movie review - wasn't that far off base.Read full review...
