In my opinion, this is one of those few games that managed to have an extremely large area of play, a very strong compelling story, and likable characters. It is actually fun to travel across the map in this game. Traveling was one of my least favorite parts of open world games. I wanted the ability to do it, but I never liked doing it mostly because of the drab landscapes, or lack of interesting things along the way. The Witcher 3 changed that. When I travel it feels real, the landscape changes, as well with the weather, and it is so cool when I would rather take a longer rout to a destination because I want to take in the beauty of the land. Also it would mean that I could stumble across a cool side quest along the way. Over all this game is definitely worth the price, even if you aren't that much into fighting, you can still explore the world, take on town errands, or even play card games.Read full review

Fun game

It will suck you in for a good long time. My only real complaint is that it is hard to move around smoothly, Skyrim is better.

EXCELLENT TOP OF THE LINE GRAPHICS GAME

Excellent game. I enjoy the pace of the game and the challenges. They are many and varied. The card game Gwent adds an interesting side note to the game without having any real effect on the outcome of the story. I am running all of the graphics on "ultra" setting with a very durable Intel i7 Skylake processor. There are a few glitches in the game that you have to watch out for but there is lots of help available on YouTube. A few of the graphics, like the windmill are not rendering realistic on my game, but that may be one of my settings somewhere. Overall, I highly recommend this game. It will keep you busy for about 200 hours with the basic package. Addons are reasonable at just about ten bucks each.Read full review

Amazing Story and Addictive Action

Got this title brand new on eBay for less than $25 and it is the best RPG I've ever played. With most RPGs the quests and the environment get old very quick. This is not your usual cookie-cutter open world RPG. The plot and the quests are consistently fresh and challenging. Everything from the crafting to the battle system are far and above that of Skyrim. Unlike Skyrim this is not a monotonous trudge through familiar territory. The controls are slow and clunky. Trying to kill a gryphon is hard to see where it's head is on the ground. The player view is all over the place. I am sorry I bought this game!!!
