Very good and one of a kind purchase.

I bought this item because I loved the show as a kid watching it in the 90's and as many good shows that were on during that time many of them have not come to dvd at least here in the united states. From most of my knowledge only the first 12 episodes are available in everywhere you can purchase them (from Itunes to the xbox live console marketplace.) So this dvd has 4 other episodes you can't get anywhere else except the dvd (unless you count marvel's website but who knows how long that will last.) This is of course the only way you can buy all the episodes legally (by buying all 5 volumes). So this is a must buy for all nerds and fans of this show. I loved the case are and its holographic casing. Many of the outside cases don't work well but this one is so stylish and will really make any comic book proud to display it. However, the dvd art itself is none existent only existing on a plain gray disk which I was very disappointed by. While their are multiple subtitles (english included) there were no special features for this iconic show or commentaries which I was very disappointed by. The episode menus are decent and are styled just as in the show. These episodes are just as I remember them with no changes whatsoever along with the original theme song intact. These episodes are very complex and ask many good questions and offer multiple questions that are very deep and with great characters. It came in all right but the second disc had all kind of smears that I can't take out with a disc cleaner

X-men tv show volume 1

I was a fan of the show when I was a kid and I have been waiting a long time to watch these again as an adult. Although the acting is pretty typical for a kid's show cartoon and the plots can be pretty cheesy at times, I am very glad I bought the DVD. Overall I would say if you watched it as a kid and liked it as a kid, you'll enjoy it, but if you're just a fan of the new trilogy with Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McClellan, etc. I would say skip buying this one.Read full review...

If you were a fan of the highly acclaimed X-Men cartoons of the early 90's, then this 2-disc set is definitely for you! All the episodes are listed beginning from the action packed pilot "Night of the Sentinels" until season 2's "Whatever it Takes". You can choose which episode you'd like to watch at the main menu and relive your X-Men old school days. This much anticipated series promised to deliver and it did.
