One of the best cds I've bought in a while

This first cd by Black Lab is uniformly excellent. The first track is probably the best - Wash it Away was on the radio for a while in 1997, after its first release, but then when the band's record company (Geffen) folded, the band pretty much died. However, they've come back with a new cd in 2005: See the Sun.

My personal favorites are Wash it Away, X-Ray, Thin White Lie, Anything, Sleeps with Angels, Gates of the Country, She Loves Me, Can't Keep the Rain, Ten Million Years, All the Money in the world, and Bring it on. Oh, did I just mention every song in the cd? Guess so. :D

Bottom line: this band is a LOT better than most of the stuff on the radio. The lyrics are great, the execution is top notch, and the tunes are awesome. Get it.

Black Lab

Black Lab is an excellent band. This is the second "Your Body Above Me" cd that I have bought because I have worn out the first one. The music and lyrics are amazing and you can feel the emotion from the lead singer/songwriter Paul Durham. Anyone who listens to Black Lab will be hooked for life.Read full review...

Sleeps With Angels

Live did it better but as I listen to this I keep forgetting and thinking I'm listening to Live. This is a solid decent album for the style but the lyrics are not nearly as compelling as Live. There was a time when I really would have enjoyed this but I've moved on to more interesting stuff. 3 Stars.Read full review...

sweet electric sounds

I heard it a while ago and absolutly loved the mellow flowing sounds of this band.. very nice and relaxing with a good deep story behind the lyrics.
