Higher expectations not met.
I bought a few of these cameras in white.
Positive
The light shroud is good to have to block out sunlight or pollution from porch / patio lighting.
The LED's give a bright clear view at night.
The various modes supported are backward compatible to older DVR's
Neutral
The claimed 2MP is sufficient for face recognition but just barely and then only close up.
Negatives
The factory focus may be off and there is no way to fix it.
The very W-I-D-E angle lens could be much narrower to get better definition in recorded images.
Overall
For indoor or outdoor CLOSE recording they're pretty good, the W-I-D-E 3.6 mm angle lens in my main beef.
I gave them a three(3) rating as they could be better, maybe a bit more expensive if they were better but the main point of cameras is not W-I-D-E angle that makes discerning an object further than 20 feet away or so is unlikely.
Honestly, for reviewers to give 5 stars I suspect that their expectations are much lower than mine.
