Great zigbee thermostat that just works!

Great simple zigbee thermostat! Unline the radio thermostat brand units it replaces, this just keeps on working, and the batteries last forever. Big fan of this item.

It has no built-in scheduling, you have to use a zigbee hub for that.

I'm currently using these with smartthings hubs. The integration works just as it should, though I will eventually be switching to a different hub brand just because i don't like smartthings... but I'll keep these thermostats because they're great!

Make sure that whatever hub you use includes thermostat support.
Echo plus, for example will only turn it on and off (and even that might not work), you can't set a schedule with it.Read full review

Love my new thermostat

The Zen thermostat I purchased was used; hence that's why no hardware, clean easy installation I saved almost $200 buying used and installing myself. Works with Xfinity Home system that's why I wanted this particular thermostat tells the temperature in the house and you can change the temperature via app or thermostat itself. Minimalist appearance, great performance in home automation environment.

This is not your usual thermostat. You are not faced with a screen full of numbers and symbols. In fact, most of the time, you only see a flat, white, glass panel. Touch it, an you see the current temperature reading. Touch it a second time and the temperature at which it is set appears along with symbols indicating whether it is cooling or heating and whether it is operating or idle. The work is behind the scenes. Because it is a Zigbee thermostat, it works in conjunction with a smart home hub. In my case, it is a Hubitat Elevation. The smarts are there. It is with the Hubitat that I set schedules and have it set to change if we leave or when we arrive.

If you are desiring to do some home automation and are willing to put some effort into setting up a hub to control this thermostat, then this could be a thermostat with which you will be satisfied. If, however, you do not want to do home automation and don't want to get a hub and configure it, then this is not the one for you. Go with a learning thermostat insteadRead full review

Compared to most, works very well.

Good product especially for what I paid. Not so sure how much I'd like it if ST or other compatible hubs ever go South but as it stands now, its great. No need for brain-hurting schedules built-in like most 'smart' T-Stats. Not super hard to setup with most common systems. Nice display, gives good time-out options for heat pump/AC in the event of power fail unlike its predecessor. Also doesn't short-cycle the AC unit unlike my last. Overall I like it and I plan to keep it in service. 4 stars only because it relies on a compatible ZigBee hub (This one is not the WiFi version). As a stand-alone, not much different than a dumb one or the old mercury T-Stats.Read full review
