Do your homework and research before buying
Before buying this for my BMW 328i I did my homework and research. A couple of the things that you don’t really hear about is that the beautiful BMW door chime is replaces by a terrible screeching beep. Also after install you may need to have your car recoded to get rid of the annoying SOS malfunction warning on your dash. I found a local guy that took care of that for me for about $80. Other then that it was simple to install and looks great in the car. Function can be a bit tricky for the electronically challenged. I’m a bit of a electronics geek so I enjoy the challenge. I enjoy the Android based unit and how easy it is to customize to my liking. There are a few hang ups. It takes a long minute to boot up after starting the car and Bluetooth does not automatically play when you restart the system, you always have to push the play button. Read full review...
