The Maltese Falcon

This is Bogart at his very best. A slightly dubious Private Eye caught up in international skulduggery. Sydney Greenstreet provides the perfect personification of a greedy, unscrupulous collector who will stop at nothing to possess the precious bird. Darkly entertaining and superbly cast, this film continues to thrill and entertain me each time I watch it. I can thoroughly recommend owning this DVD as you'll want to watch it again and again.

Frank Sinatra - In the wee small hours CD

This collection of songs dates from Frank Sinatra's finest (in my opinion) era, the mid to late 1950's. His voice had subsatantially mellowed by then and was ideally suited to these soulful tracks. Great music to wind down to and highly recommended for background music during a meal, it provides a fabulous, relaxed atmosphere. I would also recommend 'Where are you', a truly emotional and supremely crafted album that is a pure delight to listen to at any time. One tip I would mention is to ensure that any CD you buy is remastered, this will provide with optimum listening enjoyment. Andrew Metcalfe. 17 Nov 2009.
