Another outstanding CD from the Master of the Strat !!
Includes the Hits "Pretending", "Bad Love", "No Alibis", & "Before You Accuse Me".
EC sounds like he's havin' fun covering the Elvis classic "Hound Dog", and he shows off his 1ST CLASS blues-playin' on "Old Love".
We also get to hear George Harrison's "Run So Far"...13 years before it was released on George's "Brainwashed".
Just chalk it up as another Must-Have CD from One of the Top Guitar Players of All-Time !!

DEL SHANNON - The Definitive Collection
This is an outstanding compilation from the 1999 Rock&Roll Hall Of Famer, DEL SHANNON.
It includes his major studio hits, such as: "Runaway", "Hats Off To Larry", "Little Town Flirt", and "Keep Searchin'".
DEL's early influences are demonstrated in covers of Hank Williams' "Cold Cold Heart" and "Your Cheatin' Heart"; along with George Jones' "She Thinks I Still Care".
Roy Orbisons' "Running Scared", "Crying", and "Dream Baby" are also nicely covered.
In the summer of 1961, DEL recorded "His Latest Flame", about a month before ELVIS recorded his charted version.
DEL didn't exclude the British Invasion, covering Lennon/McCartney's "From Me To You" and "World Without Love"; the Searchers' "Needles And Pins"; and his own "I Go To Pieces", which was covered by Peter&Gordon.
DEL was the first American artist to chart a Lennon/McCartney tune, with "From Me To You" in the summer of 1963, a full 6 months before the BEATLES appearance on the ED SULLIVAN Show.
Add several other nice covers, such as: Bruce Channels' "Hey Baby"; Chuck Berry's "Memphis"; the Isley Brothers' "Twist And Shout"; and Dion's "Runaround Sue".
This 40 song, 2-CD set is a must-have for the true DEL SHANNON fan, or the young audiophile just discovering this pioneering Hall of Famer !!
