Perfect for media server
This is exactly what I was looking for. The adapters original MSRP was over 800.00 and the latest versions similarly priced. As a hobbyist, these card new are to expensive and the consumer options are junk. I installed it on a 6 year old AMD motherboard running Server 2012, no issues installing or acquiring drivers from manufacturer. Configured my system, 10 2tb 3.5 SATA hard drives to RAID 5ee, with no problems. After transferring the bazillion files back to the array, my oldest hard drive failed. Replaced the drive and bit my nails for 5 hours while the array was repaired. No loss of data! Worked the way it was supposed to.
