The "Have to have" knife
The Rada tomato slicer knife is the best! Was given mine by a friend along with tomatoes from her garden. What a treat. Everyone who has used it at my house, wants one.

Simple, common sense cookbook.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have thought I would purchase this cookbook for some time and have actually looked for it in a used book store to no avail. I read Dr. Gott's newspaper column and thoroughly enjoyed his advise. It seems most appropriate to finally purchase his cookbook at the end of his career. He retired from writing his column last month. I have gone through the cookbook and am excited about trying the recipes. They appear to be simple enough. Additionally, no flour, no sugar seems like a common sense, logical approach to healthy eating.

A thoroughly entertaining, uplifting, fun, southern cookbook.
I was given my first copy of this cookbook; I gave it away and purchased this one. This is absolutely the BEST cookbook! After reading Jan Karon's Mitford series, this book is the "icing on the cake". There are inserts from the Mitford books, along with personal stories to accompany recipes. I personally appreciate Jan Karon's personal touch throughout this cookbook. It is a "feel good" kind of cookbook. ( I have made the pimento cheese on page 256 and my sons tell me I should make it and sell it...it's that good.)
