Excellent reference source
This is historically a very well written book. The Lyman 49th edition is well organized and illustrated. It explains each step of reloading for the novice and has advanced sections for the experienced. Each chapter covers areas from safety to equipment. The difference in primer size, brass types and crimping goes into detail. The sections covering powders include all major brands including imports, the same for bullets. This edition includes newer powders and calibers such as the WSM and WSSM. I was a little disappointed that more wasn't written about Varget. A good synopsis and history is written on each round. Each caliber has several bullet weight and powder combinations with minimum and maximum loads, compressed loads and optimum load. Overall I would rate this as an essential part of any reloaders library.
