King and Country Scots Grey Trooper NA089 Napoleonic , The Age Of Napoleon
The charge of the Scots Greys in the Battle of Waterloo was depicted in the film "Waterloo" starring Rod Steiger as Napoleon and Christopher Plummer as Wellington. The cinematography is epic and captures the heroic Scot Greys in all their glory. King and Country does a wonderful job on this Scot Grey Trooper, wonderful attention to detail and in its paint application. The sculpted pose captures the horse in full gallop with the trooper brandishing his sword. The uniform of the Scot Grey is striking and impressive as well as the beautiful colorings on the horse. This is a must have piece if you are a collector of cavalry or Napoleonic era miniatures. If you are interested in a painting of the Scot Greys charge, please look at Lady Agnew Butlers famous painting that captures this epic cavalry charge. Great attention to detail is provided in every piece in the paint application and accuracy of uniforms and accompanying equipment. This specific piece one of two Australian Lighthorse Flag bearers(One with an azure blue field and one being reviewed with a red field) that King And Country offers in this line from WWI.
