Dry joint manifold and riser replacement
I ordered this product as I had a newer dry joint manifold set to replace. I have used with great success GLM products in the past. I initially received the manifolds and elbows on different days and did not start the replacement until I had both sets. I found that although the elbows were the same height as the dry joint elbows and the manifold base was the same height and location, the replacement manifolds appeared not to have included the difference of the dry joint riser (spacer). I contacted GLM customer service (tech) would relayed to me that I needed an additional spacer #30350. I attempted to order such a spacer but found that no one carried them or at least no one listed them as it was a new part. I did in fact order #30300 which was listed as a riser to be used. These risers are 4 in in height which is more than twice as high as the dry joint spacers were. Contacted tech service again to find out that they had no riser of the needed height was available (3, 4 or 6 inch only). These manifolds and elbows are sold as replacements for the dry joint manifolds, they should either be the same heights as the dry joint manifolds and elbows or include the correct spacers. I took the spacers I purchased to a machine shop to be corrected.
