Looks like a painting, sounds like japanese rock/horror, plays like a thinking man's game
The music and art are dark and masterfully crafted. The controls tight, responsive and smooth. The gameplay focuses on a slower pace, with precision being more important than combos. It's decently balanced across the roster of characters, each with 2 styles of fighting and 3 power-meter options; it allows you to finely tune your setup. This whole series has great acclaim, and it's well deserved. This is the first of the new sprites and mechanics in the series. Great for solo play or with friends.
