Half the controller was dead out of the box

Really wanted this to work out, but after running diagnostic testing on the unit, only the right half works. I can tap the back of the controller and make the left half register clicks, but nothing happens when I attempt to use the left half as directed. App installed, OS updated, just the controller is a lemon. I guess I'll just keep using my Xbox controller. At least that works.
