Fujifilm Finepix S-3 Pro Digital SLR
What I like:
I prviously owned and S-1 and S-2 and was totally impressed with them as "people" cameras. The S-3 offers more of the same with a larger image file: outstanding skin tone and color with a wide dynamic range. The camera has a great ergonomic feel, very balanced and comfortable in the hand. It uses all my Nikon AF lenses and even uses the iTTL feaures of my SB-600 flash. The menus are a little simpler to use than the D-200, although there are ultimately fewer selectable choices. this is a good thing, though, since the D-200 has menus for it's menus and sometimes it's easy to get lost when you're trying to set up for a certain shot.
What I don't like:
It is not the easiest camera on battery life. Keep a set fully charged and you won't be disappointed. The viewing functions (after the photo is taken) are a little stone-age. For example, if you are reviewing photos using the screen on the back and you need to interrupt and then go back to looking, the file numbers start from the beginning. With the D-200, the photos resume where you left off.
