Detailed theological study of the three major western religions.
1 of 1 found this helpful A good detailed account of man's conception of God as seen through the historical theology of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It was written much earlier than her more recent, similar work titled "The Case for God", which, in my opinion, is the better of the two books. But still, I would recommend it for someone looking to understand the three religions and how their descriptions of God have changed over the past few thousand years.

An outstanding history of theology from ancient past to the present day.
Excellent book covering the history of theology from 10,000 bc through 2009. Though focusing on Christianity, Islam and Judaism; she also covers Hinduism, Budhism and a variety of other off-shoots, sects, etc. The final chapter (our modern age) and the epilogue were themselves worth the read. Gave me insights into today's muslim and christian fundamentalists and extremists.

For the hardcore
I found this to be a very detailed, well written account of all of Napoleon's campaigns from his early years in Italy, through Egypt and his more well known European ventures. Detailed and with a lot of help in the form of battlefield and campaign maps.
