Tango DVD
I bought the Austrailian version of this DVD. I also bought the Waltz, Foxtrot and latter the Cha-Cha (US version). Of the four, the Tango DVD was the best. The Foxtrot and Watz were very good. The Cha-Cha good. The Tango instruction, choice of variations, and presentation are excellent. Even though this DVD is aimed at the beginner, it delivers enough variations to look good on the dance floor. The dancers movements are clear, crisp and easy to learn from. No hype on any of these DVDs, just excellent instruction. I have had group lessons in Tango before. This DVD filled in a bunch of variations that I have seen on the dance floor. This is the American style of Tango. Tom

Salsa CD review
I bought this because the price was cheap, about $5 shipped. The video contains some streatching excersizes, some salsa variations and those same variations done in Merangue. The variations are done in the Cumbia style of Salsa. It wasn't impressed with the quality of either dancer. The moves were fairly jerky. Some of it was due to the follow, she just didn't move very well. Others, I think the lead was forced a bit much. I actually did find the actual instrustion good. There were some good points brought up and demonstrated. I mainly do a NY style Salsa so I'd have to figure out how to adapt this to it. I thought the Merengue section work out a bit better. I got this DVD cheap, so no complaints. I would not want to purchase this at full price. Still searching for a good Salsa DVD.
