Audio input jack wired backwards, otherwise a great decoder.

As another reviewer noted, the audio input jack is wired backwards. That's not a big problem. Just wire the plug on your own input cable with audio to the ring and ground/shield to the tip. No need to cut circuit runs on the board, add wires or bypass C7. The supplied cable is not even a shielded cable, so if you use the supplied cable, just wire it up backwards. I have found this decoder to be sensitive and it does not false when hit with noise or loud human voice, ect. Great little decoder for the price ............. 7904a

Good for the price

I have been using this iron for a few weeks now and it works good for the price.

Works, but not very well ..........

I tried using this unit to charge a Ni-Mh battery for a Motorola MT-1000. The charger works somewhat, but consistently fails to fully charge the battery. It switches to standby mode too soon (Led goes from Red to Green) compared to a better quality charger, resulting in a battery charged to only about 65 percent capacity. The same battery charges to a full level when tested in a Motorola charger. Not recommended, pay the extra money and get a good charger .................
