A rare interpretation of Bach music
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a melodical interpretation of Bach. I love the recording for that reason. Some (most) of Bach's work are intertwining mechanical numerical progessions. the basso continuo reflects the theme in rounds that offer incredible counterpoint to the original theme.
Variations is a stretch with a wonderfully fresh choice of instruments, and metre. The only reason I don't give this a five star is that there are a few numbers done with a Celtic voice which I find singsongy and trite. But the highlights of the album are many and masterly performed and conceived.

Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex,
A pre-orientation problem comedy for the prolific Allen, a series of viniettes around the topic "SEX", some of which are more Mel Brooks "slap schtik", but a least a few of which are VERY funny. Allen as a cocky Italian player who has yet to find his wife's G-spot, with a haughty scarf slinging posture that is beyond ridiculous. About seven shorts all told, a few drag on but most are great entertainment.

A great recording
this is a creditable performance of the Mozart masterpiece. It is clean and accurately played and recorded. A pleasure for Mozart lovers. One of the best extended classical pieces.
