Good Experience
Replacement looks just like old part but updated. Fixed my problem and seemed to be
pre-adjusted for up and down force and safety reverse. Just learned my remotes easily and all back in business.

Vivitar ViviCam 5385 5.0 Megapixel, used.

This one quit operating and shut down at 1.4 volts on Alkaline which lasted less than 10 pictures during my learning and set up when I was reading a lot of menus etc. The manual says it recommends using rechargeable AA batteries, but with a used NIMH set I have been using for other devices, GPS & thermometers, the camera would not even power on. Rechargeables are rated at only 1.2 volts but usually end up at 1.35 volts after charging. My GPS has an internal setting to specify NIMH or NiCad batteries which helps a lot on GPS but I can not find such a setting for the VIVICAM 5385. I am currently trying Lithium AA batteries which are lasting some longer.
The pictures and performance of the camera is excellent for an entry level camera if the batteries retain power for its use.
