Practical, High Quality, But Quirky
I have a hobby of purchasing and testing out mechanical pencils. I have used this the Orenz Nero 0.3mm for a week and a half at this point. After thorough examination here's the deal: The pencil does everything you expect it to do perfectly. Now it's time for the nitpicking.
Micro-small "issues"
-slightly visible seams
-difficult to remove eraser
-black coat can be slightly scratched with pressure from fingernails (unlike Rotring 600/800)
-slight tip wobble(only noticeable if you examine the tip)
-Contact between lead sleeve and paper is noticeable but not scratchy
-Tip does not retract fully
-Eraser cap will advance the lead when it is re-inserted
-Slight noise when shook due to internals
-Graphite can be advanced by weak pressure on the cap before actual "click"
That being said, this is one of my favorite pencils and I really hope they give this a brush-over to fix some of these small gripes.
