Hard to Handle

for someone with arthritis, the cap is very hard to get off because it has some sort of trick to it like squeeze and turn which is very hard to do when the container is filled with a hot liquid. Also it is not as large as advertised. I would say it's 2 quarts not the 2 1/4 quarts in the description. I have older versions of this, and when I filled one up to the regular level I use and poured it into this new version there wasn't enough room for the water. If you can get an older used one that's in good condition I would highly recommend that you buy that instead of this one. Very disappointed.
