Around Thanksgiving, I went shopping for a laptop. I found dual-core machines with Win7 for around $400. I thought why not start with a used dual-core Dell and install Win7. I had a Dell D820 at work and had it for 3 years w/o any problems. The cd/dvd drive was interchangable, the 9-cell battery would hold a 4 hour charge, and memory could be upgraded to 4GB. To me, it would be a perfect start for my Win7 project. I purchased a 1.83 GHz dual-core machine off eBay for close to $200. It came with 1GB memory and I upgraded to 2GB. Installed Windows 7. Bought an Intel 4965AGN network card off eBay for $12 and installed the driver from Intel for Win7 32bit w/o issue. Installed free Avast AV, free Ad-Aware, and Win Office 2007 I had laying around. I am very pleased with this machine and its setup. Knowing what I know now, I would do it all over again. So far, the final cost comes to $282. The only downside would be that it lacks an internal camera, but I plan to get one that clips to the lid.

Enjoy the look these headlights have made to our Accord. The car looks brand new again and now has a much improved ability to see in the dark while driving.
