What I Wanted
The video is good, Mayor Kock, unbelievably, made a short intro, and the music was excellent. The selections were representative, the sound was very good, and the scans of the crowd were appropriate. I think I fell in love with the hip-swaying girl with obvious attributes halfway back,

Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man
I liked learning about the poet and songwriter, his life and philosophy as well as listening to a sampling of his music. Some of the selections were superior to others, mainly because of the quality of the artists in my opinion. Highlights: Susanne's Song and I'm Your Man by Nick Cave, Everybody Knows and Alleluia by Rufus Wainwright, and I Try to Be Free by Betalla ___.
I did not like the advertising that implied Bono would be a regular contributor. Actually, he sang melody on one song and offered some commentary.

I'm Your Man - Cohen, Leaonard (CD 1988)
I was extremely happy with the DVD of the same title. It featured artists Rufus Wainwright and Nick Cage and many others. It also includes interspersed commentary by Leonard which gives you a good picture of the composer/lyricist/poet. One of his comments was that he was generously called a singer since he could hardly carry a tune.
This CD has only Leonard as the vocalist and his limited range is exposed. There are some of his songs here where a voice other than a bass would have been better. Nevertheless, with only Cohen compositions, this CD probably is just what a long-time Leonard Cohen fan wants.
