I received the email notice telling me I had won this product. There was no winning, I paid for this item and paid for its mailing.
The boresnake is excellent for instant cleaning, especially if you have an adjustable high comb, that normally must be removed so the bolt can also be removed to use a bore guide and rod for bore cleaning.
For cleaning a competition rifle once you have gone through the process of establishing a perfectly vertical scope reticle that is precise for 1,000+ yard shooting, usually this means a very high scope comb on the buttstock in order to adequately sight through a high mounted scope. This requires the high comb on the stock and its height has to remain constant in order to retain the preicion sighting needed for very long accuracy. Once setup this way, the boresnake is the answer for cleaning the bore, which is necessary for true precision accuracy at long distance. The boresnake is as important as any othe item to reach consistent, long range accuracy.
