Great for soap making
2 of 2 found this helpful Purchased this to mix cold process soap. It works great and can be run through heavy oils and thick full trace. Ran the mixer in hot water to clean the blade. The rest wipes down easily. You can disconnect the mixer from the motor pretty easily for cleaning but there is really no reason to. The product feels heavy duty, unlike some of the stick mixers I looked at at Walmart and Target. There were no quality issues at all when I received the unit. It runs very smooth and is very very quiet which is good for the paper thin walls of my apartment.
