O K Remake
This was a very good retelling of "The Wolfman" the actors were great and the whole atmosphere was scary.I really liked Anthony Hopkins as the father What I did not like was the ending and also that the father was also cursed.I will have to be honest as much as I enjoyed this Del Toro A great actor does not surpass Lon Chaney JR in the original which I still prefer

This is not the full lenth version. About 12 Minutes are missing. The quality ia average. I had hoped this was the uncut longer version

VHS "The Phantom Empire" Beware of this version
I have wanted this serial for along time. I am a Gene Autry fan and film history buff. After reading reviews of the DVD for "THE PHANTOM EMPIRE"and how bad the quality was,I opted for the VHS version. While I was glad to be able to watch serial,the quality and audio were not very good. This is probably O.K.because the source material is most likely in poor shape. But what really disappointed me was it was recorded in the EP mode. That really brought the quality way down. This was put out by"CHANNEL 1000" video,so buyer beware. But even with the bad quality I still managed to enjoy this very unusual serial.
