The largest immigration ever
Such a epic struggle of a people who wanted to live and work in America and having to start at the absolute bottom of society, grateful to rise with every opportunity. Although pretty much transitioned by the 1920's, it should be the model for immigrants today.

First non-documentary film footage of the African Interior
A wonderful historical film record of African Plains game animals and of the real risks that the 1900 era white hunters faced. The gun-bearer and Bwana relationship is a little overboard, but probably the greatest asset the white hunter had when things went wrong is a gun bearer who would stand and get fast backup shots off to save the hunter from death or a bad mauling. The power of the 600 nitro double rifles is graphically displayed in the death of the two charging rhinos. Great game and tribal footage of the Golden Age of the African ivory hunters. Movies like this are going away for many reasons, so get a copy while you still can.

One of Roger Ebert's favorite films!
Great filming of the Australian remote outback and of the race relations and cooperation between youth. Film was well ahead of it's time and a great launch of the acting career of a 16-year old girl that we currently see on the PBS series "Call the Midwife". Buy it, you will love it!
