Good potential but frustrating to use
The plastic "frame" inside which the gears turn is too flimsy and bends easily. As a result, shortly after starting to draw, the gear rises above the frame level and escapes so that the pattern is distorted/broken.
It takes practice to overcome this by learning the exact pressure to use when drawing, and for a child it can be too much effort before getting the wanted result.
