Spiffy Camera
2 of 2 found this helpful The Canon ELPH160 lived up to all my expectations. With 20 MP it is comparable to big boys' cameras in image quality. One needn't fret when he wants to blow a picture up. Go for it even if you want to make a poster. The 8 x optical zoom is just right. I mean really who wants to take pictures at 15X or 24X. These high magnifications just aren't necessary. These little zoom lenses on these small cameras are not going to act like a fixed 500mm or more lenses. Just ain't gonna happen. But the 8 x seems to me to be perfect. Realistically it's got enough to reach out to where you want it to and still retain fine picture excellence. And these cameras are small. Did I mention that they are small? The fit in a shirt pocket with room to spare. There are enough bells and whistles on this camera to keep you taking absorbed snapping the shutter (at least the shutter sound) for a long time.
