I highly recommend this product for anyone traveling in remote regions.
1 of 1 found this helpful We spend a lot of time in Central America and there are seldom land and marine charts available that adequately cover the remote areas that we frequent. After extensive research on various hand held navigation units, I decided on the Garmin GPSMAP 62stc because of its rugged design and ability to download satellite images for conversion into GPS maps capable of providing accurate latitude and longitude coordinates. Battery life is good, compass and altimeter are very accurate. I would recommend this unit to anyone going "where few have gone before"
