Captain. My Captain.
Quality product. Good articulation, sturdy joints and sculpt. Captures the look of the character quite well.

The Twelve Chairs
I enjoyed this simple tale of greed, deceit and ultimately, friendship. It's set in Russia in the 1920's.It's definitely not a high-tech,high-octane $200million blockbuster. No,it's much more hands on and basic. If you used to be on the top of the food chain and now you're a cashier at McDonald's,if you could get your status back, how far are you willing to go?
This is a wonderful comedic folktale brought to us by Mel Brooks,Dom DeLuise,Frank Langella and Ron Moody. You'd think the idea is Brooks' since he is of Russian/Jewish decent but,no,he adapted the story from two Soviet journalists,Ilya Ilf and Yevgeni Petrov.
The pacing of the story moved well enough. My only real complaint is that I wish we could've seen more of DeLuise's hijinks as the rogue monk.He was hilarious in this. Each character held their own weight. It was a fun ride that ended too quick.
It was easy buying this after seeing Mel's work on Blazing Saddles,Young Frankenstein,The Producers and History of the World,Part 1.
If you want to take a break from some of the high-tech flicks for something simple and fun.Give this film a try.

Black Dynamite
2 of 2 found this helpful This movie has pretty much every blacksploitation cliche ever written! I love how they even included the "mistakes" that popped up! Michael Jai White does a GREAT job. They need to make more of these! The graininess of the film and lighting harkens back to the 70's much in the same way Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse movie did...until you saw someone using a blackberry! For some stupid retro fun watch this movie!!
