1 of 1 found this helpful If you are a fan of the GTA franchise, San Andreas is enjoyable. Even if you never played the other GTA games, San Andreas can stand on its own. There are a few tie in's mentioned with some of the others, but if you don't pickup the nuances, you won't miss anything. San Andreas is more gritty then the earlier ones. GTA I,II,III, Vice city. The graphics are good and it is a free flowing game. You don't have to go on the missions, you can explore the world of San Andreas. After a while you will need to complete a few missions to unlock access to the rest of the gaming turf for lack of a better word. I have played most of the GTA games and San Andreas is more encompassing or complex than most of the other games with a wide variety of locations and alternate missions.
